The Medical Educational Unit (MEU) in SSIMS & RC plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of education, training, and professional development of future healthcare professionals. Key functions and roles of the MEU in our medical college:

Curriculum Development:

The MEU is involved in designing, updating, and evaluating the medical curriculum to ensure it aligns with current medical knowledge, practices, and accreditation standards. This includes integrating new teaching methods, technologies, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Faculty Development:

Providing support and resources for faculty members to enhance their teaching skills, instructional design, assessment methods, and use of educational technology.

Student Assessment:

Developing fair and reliable methods for assessing students' knowledge, skills, and professionalism throughout their medical education journey.

Clinical Skills Training:

Organizing and overseeing clinical skills training programs and standardized patient encounters to help students develop essential clinical competencies in a safe and controlled environment.

Research and Scholarship:

Encouraging and supporting medical students and faculty members in conducting research projects, scholarly activities, and publications. The MEU may provide funding, guidance, and administrative support for research endeavors.

Accreditation and Quality Assurance:

Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards set by NMC.

Continuing Medical Education (CME):

Organizing and providing accredited educational programs and courses to help healthcare professionals stay updated with the latest advancements, research, and best practices in their fields.
