A new initiative to improve medical education in India is called the Family Adoption Program (FAP), where medical students will be allotted families in rural areas (villages in the radius of 5kms from the hospital) and which provides primary and preventive care services to these families to allow the students to gain practical experience in community-based healthcare. FAP is intended to support the growth of medical students’ interpersonal, clinical, communication, and knowledge of the socioeconomic determinants of health. It is a worthwhile program that could raise the standard of medical education provided in India.

Health camps:

Health camps play a crucial role in providing accessible healthcare services to underserved, unreachable communities. We can target populations like rural or underprivileged communities who might have trouble accessing healthcare facilities by planning health camps. These camps provide opportunities for early diagnosis and treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion.
